"Forum on Youth Volunteerism for Climate Change and the Environment"

The United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme and the Bonn International Model United Nations (BIMUN) are calling for youth leaders to engage in a dialogue on experiences and lessons on volunteerism and climate change at a pre-event to the Bonn Symposium 2009, on Sunday, 22 November 2009 at 10 am. Outcomes of the "Forum on Youth Volunteerism for Climate Change and the Environment" will be shared in the joint UNV-BIMUN sponsored workshop.

"Bonn Sustainability Portal"
Presentation: European Association of Development Research and Training Institutes (EADI)
The Bonn Sustainability Portal is an online portal launched in August 2009 by Bonn organizations working on sustainability. It provides knowledge and information on sustainability issues produced in Bonn. The Bonn Sustainability Portal aims at linking actors in the sector. It has an agenda for events on sustainability at its core.
This event will take place during the lunch break of the second conference day.

Conserving migratory species is a formidable challenge which is critically dependent on the international community taking action. The CMS exhibition provides an overview of the more than one thousand species listed under this UN treaty, ranging from the monarch butterfly to the blue whale, and illustrates which conservation measures are taken to conserve these species for future generations.
